Agreement Notice — By accessing or using Hiotaku, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the platform.

Service Description

Hiotaku is an anime OTT platform designed to provide free, ad-free streaming of anime content alongside a suite of social and interactive features. The platform includes video streaming, offline downloads, friend lists, content sharing, and an integrated AI companion.

The service is provided on an "as available" basis. Hiotaku reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the platform at any time without prior notice, though we will make reasonable efforts to communicate significant changes.

Age Requirements

Hiotaku is intended for general audiences. Users under the age of 18 are permitted to use the platform under parental or guardian supervision. Parents and guardians are responsible for monitoring and managing the usage of minors within their care.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe a minor in your care is using Hiotaku in a way that requires attention, please reach out through the in-app support system.

Account & Access

Hiotaku provides both guest and registered account access. Registered accounts unlock the full range of social and personalisation features.

You are responsible for maintaining the security and confidentiality of your account credentials.
You agree to provide accurate and up-to-date information when creating or updating your account.
Any activity conducted through your account is your responsibility.
You must notify us immediately through in-app support if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.

User Conduct

Hiotaku is built around a community of anime fans. To maintain a respectful and safe environment, the following actions are strictly prohibited on the platform:

Harassment, threatening, or abusive behaviour directed at other users.
Sharing or promoting explicit, illegal, or otherwise harmful content.
Impersonating other users, developers, or any third party.
Attempting to hack, exploit, or compromise the platform's security or infrastructure.
Using automated bots, scrapers, or scripts to interact with the platform.
Any activity that violates applicable laws or regulations.

Enforcement

Violations of these conduct guidelines will result in immediate suspension or permanent termination of your account at Hiotaku's sole discretion, without prior notice.

Content Policy

Hiotaku does not allow user-generated content uploads to the platform. All streaming content is curated and provided directly by Hiotaku.

Communication features — including in-app chat, friend messaging, and AI companion interactions — are available to registered users. These features are provided for personal, non-commercial use only. Any misuse of communication tools, including spam, abuse, or illegal activity, is strictly prohibited and will result in account termination.

Monetization

Hiotaku is currently offered completely free of charge with no advertisements. This is a core part of our platform philosophy.

We reserve the right to introduce or modify monetization methods in the future. Any such changes will be communicated to users in advance and will not include forced or intrusive ad viewing. The fundamental commitment to a free base experience will be maintained.

Termination

Hiotaku reserves the right to suspend or permanently terminate any user account at its sole discretion, with or without prior notice, in the following circumstances:

Violation of these Terms of Service or any platform guidelines.
Conduct that is harmful, abusive, or disruptive to other users or the platform.
Operational or technical reasons requiring account removal.

Intellectual Property

All content, design, branding, and technology on Hiotaku — including but not limited to the platform name, interface, and curated anime content — is the intellectual property of Hiotaku or its respective rights holders.

Restriction

Copying, reproducing, modifying, distributing, or exploiting any part of the Hiotaku platform or its content without explicit written permission is strictly prohibited.

Disclaimers

Hiotaku is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind — express or implied. We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure access to the platform at all times.

Your use of the platform is at your own risk. Hiotaku makes no representations regarding the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of the content or services for any specific purpose.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Hiotaku and its developer shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from:

Your use of or inability to access the Hiotaku platform.
Loss of data, content, or account access.
Service interruptions, outages, or technical failures.
Any unauthorised access to your account or personal information.

Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any dispute arising from or relating to these terms or your use of Hiotaku shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of India.
